OUR PRINCIPAL
JACK CHING, came up in the ranks from carpenter to Company President and
CEO with an established Hawaii firm before starting Ching Construction.
Jack is an experienced and trusted professional whose thirty plus years in
the industry have brought him knowledge of a variety of construction
projects. His knowledge and hands on experience in restoration work on
historic buildings set him apart from the others. It’s a background that
allows him to provide a service to a diverse field statewide. Jack is a
member of the BIA and GCA of Hawaii.
KEY PERSONNEL
ROBERT BOTTOM II, has spent the last eighteen plus years in construction
management here and on the mainland. Using his skills to the fullest, he is
the person who makes sure the project meets the schedule, irons out the
unexpected, and implements Ching Construction’s procedures accurately and professionally.
Robert is detail oriented, computer proficient and documents every aspect
of our company’s performance in the field.
DONNA RANESES, returned to Hawaii in 1998 after twenty five years in the
SF Bay Area working in the administrative side of construction, eleven
years as a principal in a general building construction firm. She is now
responsible for all contract administration/ accounting and computer
systems and company policy. Donna’s knowledge of federal/state and private
sector project documentation and special requirements helps us to adapt to
the specific needs of our clients.
GILBERT KUPAU, one of the original Banner crew that Jack brought with
him in 1991, has worked his way up from Journeyman Carpenter to Foreman and
Superintendent. His reliability and proven skill in his trade has added to
the efficiency of our crew which translates into successful, high quality
project completions. Since progressing to the Superintendent level in our
firm, he has been a plus to the firms management team.
LeROY BARKER, joined the Ching team in January 2003 as a project
coordinator with extensive experience in the retail construction renovation
arena. His background in drafting, design, space planning and scheduling of
phased retail renovations strengthens the service we can provide our retail
clients.
